AUGUST 2020 MOOT ON CRIMINAL LAW [Aug 8-9]

ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

ProMooters is an online platform for mooting making moots more accessible, independent and technology-driven.

ABOUT THE MOOT

ProMoot is a mini moot conducted on an online platform. It is a monthly moot, each moot dealing with one specific area of law. ProMoot follows a single participant format which balances key aspects of research and advocacy skills. ProMoot adopts the traditional mooting format of memorial submissions and oral rounds, while innovation powers a robust model aimed at maximizing effort and time.

The topic for the August ProMoot is Criminal Law.

ELIGIBILITY

All students pursuing LL.B, 5 year course as well as 3 year course can participate in a ProMoot. There are no restrictions with respect to the number of students who can participate in a ProMoot from one college.

TEAM SIZE AND OTHER INFORMATION

Mono advocacy: single participant moots.

LOCATION

ProMoot is conducted on an online platform. Any student from any part of India can participate.

HOW TO REGISTER

A one-time registration on the website is required to access all moots conducted throughout the year. A promooter can participate in any number of moots in a year.

To register, click here and click on “Sign Up”. You will be required to attach a photograph of your college ID card to validate your registration.

FEE DETAILS

No registration fee to participate in the August ProMoot.

DEADLINES
  • The deadline for submitting the memorial (prescribed format) is 31st July 2020 before 11.59 pm.
  • Oral rounds will be conducted on August 8th & 9th (Second Saturday & Sunday).
